Oregon.

It has been over 11 years since I´ve made it to Oregon, to my brother Bill´s wedding. Oregon is just as green and beautiful.I stayed with Bill,Jenny and Basil and Aviva in their cozy home in Portland and went to Mt. Hood to stay at the Mazama lodge - where incidentally, they got married. During my visit, we started out with a celebratory Buche de Noel, did a nice bike loop to the city, hiked at Silver Falls State Park, walked with Jenny and Bagby in their neighborhood, and had a wonderful snowy visit to the Mt. Hood wilderness area.

Florida

We are enjoying the sun and nature in Florida. Nature pictures are from a Corkscrew Swamp trip to Big Cypress Preserve. We met some of Sally´s wonderful volunteers who ended up calling Jaume the frogman because he spotted so many that day. The ¨Panellets¨cookies were Jaume´s special contribution to Thanksgiving dinner.

Philly

Next stop, Philadelphia to stay with Bruce! We were really lucky with the weather and got to enjoy and feel at home again at our favorite places in the city. Our presentation at Breakaway bikes went very well and it was nice to see people that had come with us to Girona before. We also had fun visiting Mike, Carme and Nuria.

Ipoh

Jaume heading out on the bike for a solo day of riding

After a night stop-over in Teluk Intan, we made it to Ipoh on our way up north of the Malaysian Peninsula. We were the only tourists in both places and kind of making a show as we arrived on the bikes with all the bags. As we go down the road we get lots of waves, laughs, stares and cheering on - they definitely are curious about us.

As I discover the interesting, but hard to cross the street town of Ipoh

Taman Alam Kuala Selangor Natural Park

Our first stop out on the bikes after 85km where we got in touch with Malaysian wildlife. We saw lots of neat things including monkies, walking fish, and monitor lizards!and got to relax in the small town of Kuala Selangor.

Kuala Lumpur

We had a couple days in KL getting over jetlag and waiting for the bikes to arrive so we set out to discover.
