La Vall d´en Bas

We heard the roads were clear so we headed out to the country to check out a rural hotel for a tour in September and enjoy the snow. This is Mas Garganta a beautiful ¨mas¨ or ¨masia¨ or country farm house that dates back to 1300 or so. The woman who showed us around was named Ines and that property had been in her family back as many generations as there are records. The snowfall allowed us to get out and get a different perspective on the little city we live in.

Snow in Girona!

This past Monday, March 8th we were pleasantly surprised by the biggest snowstorm in Girona in the past 30 years. We´ve had a pretty cold Winter here and so it is nice when there is at least snow and cold instead of just cold. Jaume and I went for a chilly walk on the wall to enjoy the views.
